Anderson SB175 plug / 50mm², the red version (also available in gray). From Anderson Power. This SB175 version has a maximum peak current throughput of 280A. Hot plugging allows the plug to be plugged in while powered up to 175A. The housing and contacts of the Anderson 175A plug accommodate a maximum of 50mm² wire. The dimensions of the connector housing are: 25x55x81mm, and the cable hole is 12mm Ø.
The Anderson SB175 connector is often used to connect battery packs in electric vehicles to the charger. It can also be used to make other heavy-duty electrical connections that can be disconnected with a plug. Examples include trailers with heavy electrical needs such as winches, forklift batteries, other battery-powered machinery, etc. The Anderson connector is available in various amperages and colors.
