The Arai GPV-R helmet has been developed in line with Arai’s leading safety philosophy, delivering maximum protection on the track. Thanks to its extremely round and smooth outer shell based on the Egg Shaped Form (ESF), impact energy is effectively dispersed in the event of a crash. Instead of coming to an abrupt stop, the helmet glances off surfaces, significantly reducing harmful rotational forces on the head and neck.

The GPV-R features the advanced VAS (Variable Axis System) visor mechanism. By lowering the pivot point, the upper part of the helmet remains stronger and smoother, enhancing overall structural integrity. In addition, the visor opening has been increased by 8 mm, providing a larger vertical field of vision — ideal for drivers in a low seating position.

The interior has been completely redesigned with a focus on comfort and ease of use. The lining is fully removable and washable, while the cheek pads are prepared for communication systems. The central mouth pad allows for easy installation of a hydration system. For an optimal fit, both the lining and cheek pads are optionally available in various thicknesses.

For use with a HANS system, the helmet is equipped with M6 anchor points, making installation straightforward.
