How do I clean an oiled Pipercross sports air filter?
First, wipe the air filter with a hand brush to remove large dirt particles.
Then take the Air Filter Cleaner and spray it on the filter on both sides. Let it work for 10 to 15 minutes.
Then immerse the filter in a container with water (lukewarm) and wipe it with your hands to remove the dirt. Do this until no more dirt comes off the filter.
Try to squeeze the water out of the filter with your hands and then use a paper fiber-free cloth (do not use kitchen paper; a cloth cloth may also be suitable) to dab the water out of the filter.
Let the filter dry overnight. Do not use heating devices, such as a hair dryer or heater.
When the filter is dry, place it on a fiber-free cloth (or other clean surface that can get dirty). Spray the filter with the Air Filter Dirt Retention Additive. Shake first before use. Then spray 1 layer on both sides of the filter. Clean the rubber sides with a lint-free cloth. Then leave the filter for a while so that the oil is absorbed properly.
Reinstall the air filter and enjoy the performance of your Pipercross air filter.
Cleaning interval Pipercross air filters
